In this portrait of a year, the artist reproduces on tracing paper the front page headlines of the French daily Le Monde from the first day of each month of 2009 – the year following the 2008 global economic collapse. By omitting the stories, retaining only the main titles and replacing the pictures with grey areas, the work casts the veracity of past events into doubt.
