Inverting our geographical referents, Ecosystem materializes the expanse of the Mediterranean Basin and dematerializes the surrounding continents, leaving on the floor nothing but a shape both familiar and unknown. The sea is metamorphosed into an island of fertile land. On this mysterious Atlantis, seeds of white clover sprout, grow and die. Native all along the Mediterranean coast, this forage plant helps keep invasive species at bay, while its rare, coveted four-leaf variety embodies the quest for good luck.
