Black silk, smoke machine, radio, timer, time, daily performance
200 cm h × 60 cm dia

A pillar- or column-shaped construction is concealed beneath a magician’s black silk cape. Inside the hidden space, a radio tuned to a local station turns on automatically once every hour. For close to five minutes, it broadcasts a live news report. Simultaneously, as the news is heard, the action suggests temporal collusion: smoke rises from the cape to form a large, dense cloud that slowly spreads throughout the exhibition space. As the broadcast ends, the fog dissipates, leaving the object dormant after its period of activity.
